Our guild makes quilts for babies in the
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Johnston-Willis Hospital.

Nurses cover the isolettes with our quilts to keep the bright hospital lights from disturbing the premature infants.
Our goal is to make enough quilts so every baby can bring his or her quilt home.

We recently had a Baby Quilt Sewing Day... 12 Hours devoted to making quilts for the babies!!!!
Good friends, good food, and lots of quilting... what more could we ask for?
Here are some photos to inspire more quilts (click for a larger view)

Here are the requirements for anyone interested in donating a quilt  to the hospital

Quilts should be approximately 36x48 inches.  This size is best for covering the isolettes.
Quilts can be hand quilted, machine quilted, or tied.
Quilts should be finished and pre-washed.

If you have any questions, the Chairperson for this project is Sara Parrish, saparrish@comcast.net (804)794-8431
